  • Although we named this mouth-watering blend Cranagranate, perhaps we should have called it Vitioxidant Rooibos. (Our marketing department decided Cranagranate was more marketable!) Why Vitioxidant? This blend, besides being loaded with sweet tones of cranberry (Vaccinium Oxxycoccus) and pomegranate (Punica granatum) layered over the mellow herbaceous character of Rooibos, is also triple-barrel loaded with vitamins and antioxidants.

    That's right, triple-barrel loaded, (if that is indeed a word.) We'll break it down for you.

    1: Rosehips have long been associated with high levels of vitamin C and has even been touted for its ability to percent plaque build-up on teeth.

    2: Cranberries, while the numbers are not quite as high as rosehip, also posses rather good doses of Vitamin C & A. In recent years, studies of both cranberries and rosehips have found them to be high in free radical fighting, antioxidant producing phytonutrients.

    3. As for Rooibos, the base of the blend, it's so jam packed with good stuff it gets its own write-up below!

    So go ahead, brew as many cups as you like. With a tea that's this good for you, and tastes like heaven on top of it all, you simply can't go wrong!

    Cup Characteristics: An exotic fusion of Rooibos pomegranate and cranberries. Lightly astringent

    Infusion: Reddish orange to full color (depends on brewing time and quantity used)

  • Brewing Hot

    Bring cold water to a boil. Place 1tsp of loose Rooibos into an infuser. Lower infuser into your cup/teapot. Pour boiling water over Rooibos and let steep 3-7mins according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the brew). Add milk, sugar, or honey to taste.


    Brewing Cold

    Place 1 generous teaspoon of loose tea into a cup/ teapot for each serving required. Bring water to a boil and pour boiling water over the tea. Steep for 5 mins. Add hot tea to a 12oz / 375ml glass filled with ice, straining the tea (use larger pitcher if preparing multiple servings). Sweeten by adding sugar to taste.
