And why not Giverny was the inspiration for some of the world's best-known paintings. The famous French impressionist Claude Monet called the village home for nearly 45 years and painted some of his best-known works there. The pretty little spot is built along two streets running up a hillside lined with low houses covered in Wisteria and Virginia creeping vines - it is an exceptionally beautiful place. But even more beautiful is Monet's garden tucked in behind his old chateau. To say it is lush is an understatement - broad leafy trees flowers of every color and tropical plants literally fill every corner. The garden is built around a pond crisscrossed by a number of Japanese-style footbridges and filled with Koi. To laze away a warm afternoon there is like spending the day in heaven itself.It is that feeling that we have tried to capture in this wonderful tea. Place 1tsp of loose Rooibos into an infuser. Lower infuser into your cup\/teapot. Pour boiling water over Rooibos and let steep 3-7mins according to taste (the longer the steeping time the stronger the brew). Bring water to a boil and pour boiling water over the tea. Steep for 5 mins. Add hot tea to a 12oz \/ 375ml glass filled with ice, straining the tea (use larger pitcher if preparing multiple servings).
