It is often at life's most unexpected moments that the magic happens. On any given day we might run into a long lost friend in an airport, hit upon a million dollar idea for a new invention, or find that special person who changes our lives forever. The sweet serendipities of life were probably never better described than in the classic, "Some Enchanted Evening", from the 1949 Rogers and Hammerstien musical, "South Pacific" sung by the character Emile de Becque.
Some enchanted evening
You may see a stranger,
you may see a stranger
Across a crowded room
And somehow you know,
You know even then
That somewhere you'll see her
Again and again.
The song drips with romance, intrigue and the idea that great things can happen by chance. So, when our Master Taster stumbled upon the blending formula for this tea one evening while working late in our lab, he knew right away what it should be called. Like the line in the song from which it gets its name, Across a Crowded Room black tea blend also drips with romance and intrigue. The cup offers beguiling notes of pomegranate and vanilla intertwined with safflower, calendula and tiny heart-shaped candy quins that will have you coming back "Again and again" for another. Brew a pot and enjoy a cup of serendipitous delight. With the right tea, anything can happen.
